“Recently I attended a women’s empowerment retreat led by my dear friend Marie Crews! When asked recently what I got out of the experience, I thought wow okay, it will take me a moment to put all of those feelings into words. And so why not start with the feelings? I got freedom, independence, inspiration, confidence, grace, forgiveness, and power. The other women who embarked on this journey with me provided me with the space and support I needed to crack myself wide open. I felt free to heal, write, grow, nurture, love and become my most authentic self. I don’t know what’s next for me, but I’m excited to find out because I know it’s going to be BIG!

And to sum it up, I think the word would be grateful! I’m grateful to my friend and teacher, Marie for including me on this journey to peace. I’ve made new life-long friends who I know will support me as I step into this next chapter of my life!

“This was also my third retreat, and although I loved the prior two, I agree with Julie that this retreat - and this new process - was/is outstanding! Previously, I found that it hard to continue journaling when I felt negative emotions. I didn’t want to deal with the thoughts and emotions, so I stuffed the feelings back down.
